B&B Attachments, working in partnership with Truckmasters Handling, has supplied a comprehensive package of advanced safety, weighing and materials handling technology for A.H. Worth's fleet of nine forklift trucks, helping to improve operational efficiency and operator safety across its fresh produce operations.
A.H. Worth is one of the UK's leading growers, packers and distributors of fresh produce, supplying high-quality vegetables to major retailers nationwide. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and operational excellence, the business continues to invest in modern equipment and technology to improve efficiency, enhance product quality and maintain the highest standards of safety throughout its operations.
The investment has seen all nine trucks equipped with front, rear and in-cab camera systems, while three trucks have been fitted with on-board weighing systems complete with integrated printers. In addition, one specialist truck has been equipped with a KAUP 2T351.2 Rotator and forks, providing enhanced load handling capabilities for applications requiring controlled tipping.
The fresh produce industry relies on fast, efficient and accurate materials handling, often within busy warehouse and production environments. By integrating these advanced technologies into its fleet, A.H. Worth is enhancing both safety and productivity, enabling operators to work more efficiently while maintaining high standards of operational performance.
The camera systems provide operators with exceptional visibility through a 7-inch Full HD touchscreen monitor connected to 115-degree front and rear cameras, delivering clear forward and rearward views when travelling in either direction. A 190-degree in-cab camera further enhances visibility within the truck.
To further improve operational efficiency, three of the trucks have been fitted with on-board weighing systems. The system enables loads to be weighed at any point while they remain on the forks, eliminating the need for separate weighing processes. With no moving parts or cables within the mast, the system is resistant to shocks and vibration. An integrated cab-mounted monitor and printer allow operators to quickly verify weights and produce labels, streamlining product handling and improving traceability.
One of the trucks has also been equipped with a KAUP 2T351.2 Rotator and forks, providing a versatile solution for applications requiring controlled tipping of loads. Capable of delivering continuous 360-degree rotation in both directions, the attachment allows operators to accurately rotate loads while maintaining complete control throughout the handling process.
